Financing options are available at Dr. Lindsey’s office to help qualified patients spread the cost of a hair transplant over time. What you would pay each month depends on your total cost, which is set by the number of grafts you need and the method you choose, and on the plan you qualify for. This page explains how financing works, what makes up your total cost and what to ask any lender before you apply. Our team can walk you through current options at your free consultation.
Hair Transplant Financing Options at Lindsey Medical
Financing lets you divide the cost of your procedure into payments instead of paying all at once. Dr. Lindsey’s office offers financing options for qualified patients. At your free consultation you will receive your graft estimate and your total cost, and our team will explain the current options.
Approval, interest rates and repayment terms are set by the lender or plan and depend on your credit and the amount you finance. Financing is subject to credit approval, and terms vary from one plan and one patient to the next.

Because the price is all-inclusive, it covers:
- Your procedure with Dr. Lindsey
- Your free pre-operative consultation
- Local anesthesia and sedation
- The grafts
- Post-operative instructions and dressings
- In-office follow-up visits
There are no separate consultation, facility or graft fees.
The method matters to the total. Our guides to FUE and FUT explain how each procedure works and which patients it suits.
Questions to Ask Any Lender Before You Apply
Whatever plan you consider, compare these points in writing before you agree to anything:
- What is the APR, and is it fixed or variable?
- If an offer advertises no interest for a set period, is the interest deferred? What happens to it if the balance is not paid in full by the end of that period?
- Are there application, origination or late fees?
- Is there a penalty for paying the balance off early?
- Does applying involve a soft or a hard credit check, and will it affect my credit score?
- What is the total I will repay over the full term, not only the monthly payment?
- What happens if I miss a payment?
Other Ways to Plan for the Cost
Taxes. In general, the IRS treats hair transplants as cosmetic procedures, and the cost of cosmetic procedures is not deductible as a medical expense. The exception is surgery that corrects a deformity caused by a congenital abnormality, an injury or a disfiguring disease. If you think your situation could qualify, ask a licensed tax professional before you file. The rules are in IRS Publication 502.
Health savings and flexible spending accounts. These accounts generally follow the IRS definition of a medical expense, so a cosmetic procedure is generally not eligible. Check with your plan administrator before you pay.
Planning ahead. Your price is based on the graft estimate you receive at your free consultation, so you will know what to expect before you commit.
Reserving Your Procedure Date
To place your procedure on the schedule, the practice asks for a $1,500 first payment toward the cost of your procedure. The first payment is non-refundable, with one exception: if you cancel within 3 days of scheduling, $1,400 is refunded, and the other $100 covers credit card processing costs. If you need to move your procedure, you can do so at no cost with at least 2 weeks’ notice, to a date within 1 year of the original date. The full terms are in the new patient registration form.

Generally, no. The IRS treats hair transplants as cosmetic procedures, and cosmetic procedures are not deductible as medical expenses unless they correct a deformity from a congenital abnormality, an injury or a disfiguring disease. A licensed tax professional can tell you whether your situation qualifies.
It depends on the lender. Some use a soft credit check, which does not affect your score, and others use a hard inquiry, which can. Ask the lender which applies before you apply.
